Leia Organa

The daughter of Padmé Amidala and Anakin Skywalker, given at birth to be raised by Bail Organa and brought up as a princess of Alderaan. She combined service in the Imperial Senate with work for the underground: she transported information and equipment for resistance cells under the cover of diplomatic missions.

Captured by the Imperials with the plans of the battle station, she was taken off the Death Star and became one of the key figures of the Alliance. She took part in the defense of the base on Hoth, in the operation on Tatooine against Jabba, and in the ground battle on the moon of Endor that made possible the destruction of the second station.

After the war, she was engaged in the politics of the New Republic, and then, disillusioned with its indecisiveness in the face of the First Order threat, founded and led the Resistance. She trained in the use of the Force and later herself instructed Rey.
