Invasion of the Tython system by the Rakatan Infinite Empire

c. 25,793 BBYApproximate dateLast checked: 23 October 2026

The Infinite Empire, led by Predor Skal'nas, invaded the Tython system in search of the Infinity Gate, ravaging the Settled Worlds.

Description

The Infinite Empire of the Rakata relied on technology powered by the Force and therefore for centuries searched the galaxy for Force-sensitive beings, turning them into slaves and into so-called Force Hounds. One such Hound, Xesh, ended up in the Tython system, and through him the empire learned of the world where the Je'daii Order lived, as well as of the Infinity Gate located in the system. Predor Skal'nas sent a fleet to Tython. The Rakata struck the Settled Worlds of the system, ravaging settlements and scattering local forces, while the Je'daii, accustomed to internal disputes about balance, for the first time faced an enemy that possessed both a superior fleet and its own knowledge of the Force. The invasion forced the order to gather its scattered temples into a single army and marked the beginning of a protracted war for the system. It also confronted the Je'daii with the question of whether weapons and techniques taken from the enemy were permissible.
