Din Djarin takes Grogu as his apprentice
After the liberation of Mandalore, Din Djarin tells the Armorer that Grogu is no longer a foundling but his apprentice, and asks that he be entered into the Song under the name Din Grogu.
Description
The reconquest of Mandalore from the Imperial garrison allowed the surviving clans to gather on their homeworld for the first time in many years. Soon after the fighting, the Mandalorians went to the Living Waters, where by custom the rite of acceptance into the tribe was held: Ragnar Vizsla was inducted. At the conclusion of the rite, Din Djarin publicly addressed the Armorer and declared that Grogu was no longer a foundling but his son and apprentice. The Armorer entered this into the lore of the tribe, and the foundling received the name Din Grogu, becoming a Mandalorian apprentice. Thus the bond that had begun with the refusal to hand the child over to a client was confirmed according to custom. The Armorer indicated that, to train his apprentice, Djarin should leave Mandalore. Soon the Mandalorians witnessed Bo-Katan Kryze relighting the Great Forge, and Djarin offered his services to the New Republic as an independent contractor and settled with his son on Nevarro.
