Grogu returns to Din Djarin

Grogu was born approximately forty-one years before the Battle of Yavin and was raised as a youngling in the Jedi Temple on Coruscant; when the purge began, he was hidden by Master Kelleran Beq. Decades later the child was found by an Imperial remnant and then rescued by the bounty hunter Din Djarin, who accepted him into his clan as a foundling. The search for a teacher led them to Luke Skywalker, who agreed to take him as a student. The training was cut short by Luke's own decision. Sensing that his student's heart was not set on the path of the Jedi, he offered a choice between Yoda's lightsaber and a beskar chain mail shirt sent by Djarin. Grogu chose the armor and left the school together with an astromech droid. Reunited with Djarin, he took part in the battle for Mos Espa, where he put a rancor to sleep with the Force. Later, during the return of the clans to Mandalore, the Armorer proclaimed him a Mandalorian apprentice and Djarin's adopted son under the name Din Grogu.
