Abeloth

Abeloth was a product of events in the distant past: a mortal woman who served the Ones drank from a font of power and gained immortality, but lost her human form and her sanity. Her greatest fear was being abandoned by her family, and it was this fear that shaped her behavior: she sought companions and “children,” binding Force-sensitive beings to herself.

Imprisoned in the Maw cluster, she broke free whenever her bonds weakened and spread madness among Jedi whose minds came into contact with her presence. She formed temporary alliances with the Sith, acted through bodies she had seized, and commanded a living vessel known as Ship.

The struggle against her resulted in destruction that reached the skyscrapers of Coruscant. Jedi led by Luke Skywalker and the Sith united against Abeloth, and she was struck down, but her death repeatedly proved not to be final: her essence kept returning until it was destroyed with no possibility of incarnation.
