Inquisitorius

An Imperial service recruited from Force-sensitives and created to track down and eliminate the Jedi who had survived Order 66, as well as to search for gifted children. Its activities were subordinate to Darth Vader, while the service was formally headed by the Grand Inquisitor.

Inquisitors did not use personal names but were designated by numbers: the Second Sister, the Third Sister, the Fifth Brother, and others. Many of them had previously belonged to the Jedi Order and had gone over to the side of the Empire. They used lightsabers with spinning ring-shaped hilts and relied on local garrisons and stormtroopers.

The service hunted survivors throughout the galaxy, including pursuing Obi-Wan Kenobi on Mapuzo, and also clashed with the crew of the Ghost. Rivalry among the inquisitors themselves and Vader's cruelty led to the deaths of many of them.
