A small crew began disrupting Imperial supply lines, sparking noticeable resistance on the planet.
Description
Lothal was considered a model of Imperial order: the regime promised residents factories, jobs, and development, but in reality it seized land from farmers, shut down farms, and switched production to military needs. Discontent accumulated, but for a long time there was no organized resistance on the planet. A small group that formed around the crew of a freighter began by intercepting Imperial cargo and distributing recaptured food to residents. The crew included members with different backgrounds: a surviving Jedi, a member of a nearly exterminated people, a demolitions expert from a Mandalorian clan, a Twi'lek pilot, and a youth from the streets of the capital who joined them. Their actions remained small in scale but were noticeable: raids on convoys and warehouses, sabotage of equipment, and broadcasting of messages over Imperial communication channels. Out of these sorties grew a sustained resistance. The group established contact with other cells and with patrons in the Senate, and Lothal became known as a planet where Imperial authority met open opposition. The crew's actions became the start of a chain of events that led to the planet's liberation.
