Subjugation of the Mandalorians

After Exar Kun and Ulic Qel-Droma were proclaimed Sith Lords, they agreed to expand their forces for a future war against the Republic. The armies of the Krath cult began subjugating neighboring systems, and the holdings of the Tetan worlds looked overextended. Mandalore the Indomitable decided to take advantage of this, leading the Crusaders on raids for land and honor. The Mandalorians attracted Qel-Droma's attention by destroying an important carbonite smelting station. He demanded immediate surrender, but Mandalore instead challenged him to single combat, with the fate of the seven worlds of Empress Teta at stake; Qel-Droma accepted the challenge, adding a condition of his own: if he won, the clans would swear allegiance to him and fight under his banners. The meeting took place on the Harkul Plains of the planet Kuar, where the Mandalorians had long since set up camps. Qel-Droma defeated his opponent but did not kill him, judging that a living Mandalore was more useful; he had assessed his fighting qualities in combat. With his name kept untarnished, Mandalore the Indomitable swore an oath of his life, honor, and troops to Qel-Droma. The Mandalorian Crusaders became part of the Sith forces in the Great Sith War.
