Founding of the Je'daii Order

The emergence of the Order was preceded by the arrival on Tython of the pyramidal Tho Yor ships, which gathered Force-sensitive beings of various species from different worlds of the galaxy and brought them to a single system. The arrivals found themselves cut off from their former homes and were forced to get along with one another on a planet where surges of the Force caused storms and rifts. Temples grew up around the Tho Yor that had come down, each with its own field of training, and above the planet itself orbited two moons that served as symbols of the opposing sides of the Force. From this arose a doctrine of balance: a follower was not supposed to lean toward either the light or the dark side, and those who went too far were sent into solitary penance. The Je'daii Order became the first organized school of the Force on Tython and existed for millennia, until the war with the Rakata destroyed the very idea of balance and led to the division of its heirs.
