The head of the order was blamed for failing to stop his student's fall and sent into exile.

Description

After the war, the post of Chief of State was taken by Natasi Daala, under whom anti-Jedi sentiment strengthened in the government. The charge against the Grand Master was based on inaction: he was blamed for failing to stop Jacen Solo's fall and his seizure of power in the Alliance. The case was heard in 43 ABY. Instead of imprisonment, Skywalker agreed to a deal: exile from Coruscant for ten standard years, temporary resignation from the post of Grand Master, and a ban on coming within a light-year of the Order's temples and schools. He appointed Kenth Hamner as acting Grand Master. The condition for his return was determining the causes that had led Solo to the dark side. Together with his son Ben, Skywalker set out on a journey across the galaxy that led them to the Mind Walkers at Sinkhole Station in the Maw. The sentence was overturned in 44 ABY, after the change of power on Coruscant.
