Lumiya

Lumiya operated covertly and preferred to use others' hands rather than her own. In 40 ABY she sent an anonymous message to the Corellian head of state and minister of war, Thrackan Sal-Solo, pointing him to a secret meeting and tempting him with the opportunity to eliminate their common enemies in one stroke. Sal-Solo responded and provided her with twenty commandos, nearly all of them Corellians and all of them terminally ill, as well as detailed schematics of the habitat showing the locations of the delegates' quarters. The attack on the peace conference at Toryaz Station served as the spark for a new war.

At the same time, she grew close to Jacen Solo and took him as her apprentice, instructing him as a Sith. She persuaded him that the path to peace in the galaxy lay through sacrifice, and among other things argued that the deaths of Queen Mother Tenel Ka and her daughter Allana were necessary; Solo refused.

Like Darth Sidious before her, Lumiya did not shrink from lies and used ambitious figures such as Sal-Solo without their knowledge. Her apprentice, having embraced the dark path, ultimately killed her himself.
