Ghez Hokan

Before the Clone Wars, Hokan served as chief enforcer for the Neimoidian Lik Ankkit, the Trade Federation's representative on Qiilura, and terrorized the local sharecroppers. He disliked the job: his unit consisted of Weequays, Ubese, and other riffraff recruited by his employer, and gave him more trouble than the farmers did. He personally killed Jedi Master Kast Fulier with the Jedi's own lightsaber and kept the weapon for himself, finding it convenient for dealing with negligent subordinates.

A deal with the Confederacy of Independent Systems allowed Hokan to oust Ankkit, gain military authority over the planet, and receive the temporary rank of major. He was charged with guarding a research bunker and, personally, Dr. Ovolot Qail Uthan and her team; when Omega Squad landed on the planet, a hundred B1 battle droids were attached to his militia.

Hokan led the search for the saboteurs, not suspecting until the very end that he was facing only four soldiers. For all his cruelty, he kept to his own rules: he considered it unworthy to raise a lightsaber against a clone of Jango Fett, and he ordered that an Ubese he had killed be buried according to the customs of his people.
