The High Republic: Cataclysm

Cataclysm is a 416-page canon novel by Lydia Kang, released on April 4, 2023, as part of the second phase of the multimedia initiative Star Wars: The High Republic.

The story is set in 382 BBY, a century and a half before the events of the initiative's first phase. The book continues the plot of the novel Convergence and the audio drama The Battle of Jedha: the conflict between the planets Eiram and E'ronoh does not abate, and the Republic and the Jedi Order are trying to understand whose actions are fueling the feud. The settings include Jedha, Coruscant, and the planet Dalna, familiar from the novel Path of Deceit; the characters include Master Yaddle and the Jedi Knight Gella Nattai.

The novel concludes the line of adult books in the second phase and ties together its main plot threads, preparing the initiative's transition to the third phase, whose story returns to the time of the first.
