The High Republic: The Battle of Jedha

The Battle of Jedha is a canon audio drama by George Mann, released on January 3, 2023, as part of the second phase of the multimedia initiative Star Wars: The High Republic. The script book was published on February 14, 2023, making the work available in print as well.

The story takes place in the High Republic era, a century and a half before the events of the initiative's first phase, and unfolds on the moon of Jedha, an ancient center of pilgrimage and spiritual traditions familiar to viewers from the film Rogue One. The Republic and the Jedi Order are trying to broker a peace agreement between the warring parties, while the influence of the Path of the Open Hand cult continues to grow.

The work continues the line begun by the novel Path of Deceit and the book Convergence and directly precedes the novel Cataclysm. For the initiative, it is the first audio drama included in the main narrative sequence of the second phase.
