Description
A Mid Rim planet in the Hollan sector that was under the rule of the Empire. Its landscape consists of savannas, plains, mountains, and rock formations.
The once flourishing world, full of life, turned into a wasteland because of Imperial mining of vintrium. To guard the mining operations, the Imperial Army kept a full battery on the planet. Some of the local inhabitants supported the new order: the townsman Freck openly approved of the Empire and was friendly with the stormtroopers quartered there.
After the rescue of Princess Leia Organa, the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi managed to get away from the planet Daiyu by hiding on a transport bound for Mapuzo. The Inquisitorius tracked him down here as well: the Fifth Brother, the Third Sister, and the Fourth Sister arrived on the planet together with Darth Vader. In the ensuing clash, Kenobi and Vader met for the first time since their duel on Mustafar.
