Description
Cantonica is a desert planet of the system of the same name, part of the Corporate Sector in the Outer Rim. Its main attraction was the casino city of Canto Bight, where wealthy travelers, gamblers, and those who profited from wars flocked.
In 34 ABY, during the war between the First Order and the Resistance, Finn, Rose Tico, and the droid BB-8 arrived on the planet. The goal of their sortie was to find a Master Codebreaker capable of disabling the tracking device that allowed the First Order to pursue ships through hyperspace. The luxurious resort, meanwhile, remained a place where fortunes were made selling weapons to both sides of the conflict.
