Path of the Open Hand

A missionary cult that existed on the planet Dalna in the High Republic era; the followers of the Ro family themselves remembered it as “the faithful.” The community was led by Elecia Zeveron, who called herself the Mother and passed herself off as a seer.

The teaching held that no one should use the Force and that any use of it was an abuse leading to death and disasters throughout the galaxy. From this came its enmity toward the Jedi Order as the most prominent community working with the Force. The Mother intervened in the war between Eiram and E'ronoh in order to obtain an Eiram poison and make the Jedi appear guilty, turning public opinion against them.

Later the community was transformed into the Path of the Closed Fist and openly declared war on the Jedi. In a battle that became known as the Night of Sorrow, the cult used stolen creatures against the Jedi who had arrived on Dalna and killed many of them, after which it fell apart.
