Knighting of the Myrkr mission members
The apprentices who survived the mission to Myrkr were publicly raised to the rank of Knight, and the fallen were honored by name. Luke Skywalker named Jaina Solo the Sword of the Jedi.
Description
The expedition to Myrkr was undertaken to destroy the voxyn queen — the queen of creatures engineered by the invaders to hunt the Force-sensitive. The Jedi team allowed itself to be taken prisoner but rose up against its escort in hyperspace: two YVH-series battle droids provided by Lando Calrissian helped them deal with the warriors and voxyn on board. In the Myrkr system, Yuuzhan Vong vessels led by Nom Anor and Vergere gave chase to the captured ship. The worldship Baanu Rass was struck and the mission accomplished, but the victory proved Pyrrhic: Knight Anakin Solo was killed, and his brother Jacen was captured. A year later, the surviving students were publicly elevated to Knighthood, and the fallen were honored by name — this became the first such prominent knighting of the war years and a sign that the Order recognized the generation that had grown up in the war. It was then that Luke Skywalker named Jaina Solo the Sword of the Jedi.
