Extermination of the Nightsisters on Dathomir
Warning: this entry reveals minor plot details.
After the Nightsisters' schemes against Count Dooku failed, he sent General Grievous to Dathomir. The witches fought back with ancient spells but were defeated, and the order's rule over the planet came to an end.
Description
The ancient matriarchal order of the Nightsisters ruled Dathomir, rejecting alliances and meeting outsiders with suspicion. Its leader, Mother Talzin, agreed to help Asajj Ventress take revenge on Count Dooku for his betrayal: the sisters made an attempt on Dooku's life and then sent him a new apprentice, Savage Opress, who secretly remained loyal to the order. The plots against Dooku failed, and he sent General Grievous to the planet to destroy the order. The Nightsisters resisted with ancient spells, but the forces were unequal: the order was crushed, and its rule over Dathomir became merely a memory.
